Feb. 2011:
Of the few floating bridges in the world only one spans the corrosive elements
of salt water. Extending 6800' with a mid section that opens for marine traffic.
It stands against multiplied strains of forceful currents and wind-driven waves.
Its anchor cables run out thousands of feet to cement anchors placed at depths
to 330 feet. R/V Cascade and our ROV team work to annually inspect these cables
and anchors. Our last inspection was January 2011.
